Welcome to my creative corner! I am Nikolai Micallef, an SEO Specialist and certified digital marketer based in Malta. I have over 2 years of experience fighting Google and getting websites to rank in the SERPS.

Being curious and seeking answers is what makes me successful in the field of SEO.

Why I Chose SEO…

I Believe That Growing Your Business Organically Has Long-Lasting Effects.

The land of digital marketing is complex, constantly evolving and challenging. Search Engine Optimisation can be perfectly summarised with those three adjectives. But that’s what captivated my curious character. I was instantly hooked on it, did research day and night about it and as a result, it became my job and passion.

I like to think of SEO as a living organism. Every living organism needs nutrition to grow. In the case of SEO, websites, old and new are the source of this nutrition. On the other hand, Google and every other search engine, is like life, throwing everything it has at you. I know, it’s not a common analogy but that is why I like SEO. No day at the office is the same. New issues constantly arise, pushing us to learn new things, things which we might have thought we knew.

I like this, challenge after challenge, I grew to understand the SEO more and more. Plus, Nikolai Micallef – SEO Consultant has a nice ring to it, don’t you think?

Here’s My Background

I was inspired to learn about on-page content, the technicalities of a site audit, how different factors are used by search engines to rank websites on the SERPS. You can say SEO is a self-taught skill. I am a proud alumnus of the University of Malta, where I graduated in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Business and Information Technology.

As an individual with a hunger for growth, I also went ahead and became certified as a Digital Marketing Professional from the Digital Marketing Institute. For me, staying ahead in the dynamic landscape of digital marketing is a must. Additionally, as of May 2024, I have also obtained my certification for Google Analytics 4.

Throughout the years, I have gained valuable skills in analysing keywords, on page content and performing site audits. I have also some experience in the sector of website development, particularly on WordPress and Wix. These skills are all merit of the previous work I did and of my current place of work – that is Betsson Group.

I am always on the look out for new challenges, chasing bigger goals and making sure to learn and grow in the process of it all. As they say, if you love what you do, it no longer becomes a job, but a passion.
